According to a study by the organization Communication and Information for Women, there are more women journalists in radio and television than men, and they are increasingly the ones reporting on large-scale investigations.

Mexican Journalists March To Demand End to Murders

Some 400 people gathered today in the center of Xalapa, capital of Mexico's Veracruz state, in a march to demand justice in the murder of journalist Regina Martinez and an end to attacks on the press. The Committee to Protect Journalists says that 12 Mexican journalists have disappeared from 2006 to 2012.
